These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MyPolicyVault platform, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by MyPolicyVault Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By registering for an account, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MyPolicyVault Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

You must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of the United Kingdom to use the Service. By using MyPolicyVault, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

If you are using the Service on behalf of a business or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

To access most features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account details up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe have been compromised, are being used fraudulently, or are in breach of these Terms.

MyPolicyVault is a personal insurance and motoring document management platform. It allows you to store, organise, and track your insurance policies, vehicle documents, renewal dates, and related information in one secure place.

MyPolicyVault is not an insurance broker, insurer, or financial adviser. We do not provide regulated financial advice, arrange insurance contracts, or act as an intermediary between you and any insurer. Any information displayed within the Service is for organisational and informational purposes only.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will endeavour to provide reasonable advance notice of any significant changes.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload, store, or transmit any content that is unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading;
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its related systems;
• Introduce viruses, malware, or any other harmful code;
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without our prior written consent;
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our express written permission;
• Violate any applicable law or regulation, including UK data protection law.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against any suspected breach of this section, including suspending or terminating your account and reporting matters to relevant authorities.

You retain ownership of all documents, policy information, and other content you upload or enter into the Service (“Your Content”). By uploading Your Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of Your Content. We do not verify the accuracy of any policy details, renewal dates, or other information you enter.

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

All intellectual property rights in the Service — including the software, design, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks — are owned by or licensed to MyPolicyVault Ltd. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property other than as strictly necessary to use the Service.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. Renewal reminders and notifications are provided as a convenience only — you remain solely responsible for monitoring and acting on your own policy renewal dates.

Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, legal, or insurance advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making decisions about your insurance cover.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MyPolicyVault Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, missed renewals, or financial loss.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon closure, we will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, if required by law, or if we cease to operate the Service.

Sections 7 (Intellectual Property), 8 (Disclaimers), 9 (Limitation of Liability), and 12 (Governing Law) shall survive termination of these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and close your account.

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

You and we both agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales to resolve any legal dispute arising out of these Terms, except where you are a consumer and applicable law requires otherwise.
